ah, air hockey

cheaper than therapy. And so much more delightfully violent.
I was feeling all shitty and mopey tonight, so chromemagpie graciously agreed to accompany me to Johnny Z's.
Like warriors of old, we prepared for our journey with: chocolates, Earl Grey tea, blueberries, fat-free Fudgsicles, and a vigourous pillow fight (training). We embarked in his "trusty" ship, which managed not to die until we hit the parking lot. We were going to take my "trusty" ship, except right now she's not so much into the shifting out of 2nd.
We started off with a refreshing air hockey tournament (the preferred pink and black table was back in order, rf). I kicked his ass. Then we moved on to a motorcycle game with a pleasantly vibrating seat (like sitting on the dryer, but with steering!). I lost that. And the driving game, and the boat driving game. Well, you've all seen me drive.
I had a pressing need to kick stuff, so we played a Marvel superhero game. As Spiderman, I got my ass whupped by the Hulk (who apologized a lot more than he does in the comic books), but as some purple chick with electrical powers, I crushed Captain America!
That brought to mind the guy I had a crush on in high school. He either liked me, or my best friend - it was hard to tell because we were joined at the hip. At the grad party, he asked me to play a video game with him. Terribly romantic when you're 17. It was one of those street fighting games, and I kicked his ass. Right before I delivered the killing blow, he KNOCKED MY HAND OFF THE CONTROLS!!!! That kinda killed the crush. Freakin' boys. Freakin' high school.
Finally, we went back to the air hockey. Chromemagpie won the next tournament, so we were down to the tie breaker. After a lot of shrieking, creative swearing, and a few girly screams on my part, the little bast . . . I mean, chromemagpie, won.
But only 'cause I let him. Ahem. To make him feel better, because my lantern stick was (and is) bigger than his. Right.
Despite him now having that to lord over me(only until I kick his ass next time) it was great fun, and a great release of the aggression I always forget I have. Thanks numfar, you're a great friend.
And tomorrow, Alice-willing, I'm taking my sister to Wal-mart to buy the Chuck Norris complete gym she's been dreaming about.

Bullshit you let me! I won fair and square. You're just cranky cuz I whooped your ass so soundly. In all the driving games AND air hockey.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a victory dance to choreograph.
